If we had a red carpet, we would roll it out. If we had bow ties, they would be donned. If Billy Crystal was still in his prime, he would be hired. This past week Cultivate Studios took home Platinum and Gold in the 2009 International AVA Awards competition. Hip! Hip! Ahhh…the magic of cinema, or rather, promotional video.
So you may be wondering, “What exactly are the AVA Awards?” Fair enough. The International AVA Awards recognizes outstanding work by creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, direction, shooting and editing of audio-visual materials and programs. The AVA Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP).
Cultivate received AVA’s highest honor, Platinum, in the category “Webmercial,” for our www.WeAreRCS.com microsite. We Are RCS was created for Roseland Christian School in celebration of their 125th anniversary. The site features a six-part video series that captures the vibrant community of students and teachers at RCS.
Cultivate also received AVA’s second highest honor, Gold, in the category of “Video Produced for a School” for our promotional documentary With Courage, Faith & Vision: The First Fifty Years of Trinity Christian College. With Courage, Faith & Vision was created for Trinity in celebration of their 50th anniversary; it premiered this fall to an audience of 1400 in Navy Pier’s Grand Ballroom as a portion of Trinity’s “Jubilee!” Celebration. We’re proud of the work we created for Roseland and Trinity. Our clients are pleased as well. Now we even have industry approval. AVA, we would like to thank you for recognizing our work. You have been gifted with a critical eye and distinguished taste. Just like Billy Crystal…
